The following reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District D-14 police reports from Oct. 22-29.
At about 2 a.m. Oct. 28, a Boston University student told police a hooded man approached him on Gardner Street, flashed a knife and then told the victim to give him all his money.
The victim gave the robber $20 and then ran away. As he was running, the suspect shouted after him, "You didn't have to give me your money, but thanks!"
Before escorting the victim home, police searched the area but could not find the suspect. A surveillance camera may have captured an image of the suspect, but police were unable to determine if it was functioning at the time of the assault.
Bouncing Off the Walls
Just before 11 p.m. Oct. 27, police responded to reports of a man charging violently against the windows and walls of a Harvard Avenue apartment.
Officers at the scene saw what appeared to be blood spattered on the walls and windows. When officers did not receive a response from inside after knocking on the front door, they forced their way in. Once inside, they found blood on the floor, walls and furniture and heard noise coming from the back bedroom.
The suspect was found covered in blood, standing on the bed and wearing only a T-shirt. He did not respond to officers' questions and then fell off the bed onto the floor. When officers tried to assist the man, he became aggressive and was restrained and taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Police later found five glass pipes, a bong and a clear plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana.
Time to Move Out
On Oct. 22, a Boston College graduate student reported to police that his roommate had beaten him the night before. He said he had told the offender via voicemail he would report him to the police if he did not stop hosting parties and "trashing the house."
The victim reported the offender said he wanted to talk, and then attacked him. During the assault, the offender repeatedly shouted, "If you ever call the cops, I'm going to split your head open."
The victim had scars and bruises on his face as well as injuries to his chest, back and shoulder.
Crabby Cabbie
At around 3 a.m. Oct. 27, a BU student reported to police she had been dragged from the backseat of a taxi by the driver.
The victim said she had entered the cab after seeing a group leave the back seat. The driver claimed the victim's requested destination was too close for him to drive. An argument ensued, and the driver demanded the victim exit the cab.
When she refused, the driver got out of his seat, opened the passenger's door and started pulling the victim from the cab by her neck.
