The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department's District 14 (Allston-Brighton) crime logs from Sept. 9.
After a high-speed motorcycle chase on Commonwealth Avenue Friday night, police arrested John Rodrique, 18, and Tyrone Searcy, 27, for assault with intention to kill.
As part of Operation Rolling Thunder, officers in the Boston Police Special Operations Bike Unit spotted two motorcyclists doing wheelies on Fordham Road. Riding a Suzuki racing bike, Searcy sped toward Lt. Danilecki, coming to a screeching stop only feet before crashing into him.
Danilecki turned off Searcy's bike and began to speak to him when Rodrique, racing a second bike, turned his bike around and fled from the officers, only to find himself surrounded by more officers.
Trapped, Rodrique turned around his bike once again and in an effort to escape, popped a wheelie and sped directly at a group of nine officers talking to Searcy. He plowed through the group, hitting and injuring several of the policemen.
After initially escaping police, Rodrique cranked his throttle and sped down Brighton Avenue, heading for Commonwealth Avenue. Officers immediately radioed descriptions of the assailant before additional units from Operation Rolling Thunder spotted him on Commonwealth Avenue.
For more than five minutes, pursuing units chased the motorcycle through nearby streets, as the driver narrowly avoided hitting the hordes of roaming college students.
Attempting to outmaneuver the units chasing him, Rodrique next turned into a parking lot on Naples Road but flew off his seat as he hit the metal chain blocking off the entrance, his motorcycle continuing on its course before falling over.
Rodrique collected himself and began running down Naples on foot, dodging obstacles from backyard to backyard, temporarily losing officers.
Later, Boston University Police officers found and arrested Rodrique, who was hiding behind 1110 Commonwealth Ave., holding a screwdriver, a fake motorcycle registry and an electrical device.
Meanwhile, police stopped Searcy at the corner of Brighton Avenue and Fordham Road. They investigated the registry of his bike and discovered it was stolen. Searcy became aggressive and resisted officers trying to arrest him.
"IT'S FRIDAY, BOYS"
Police arrested alleged prostitute Alexa Efstathiou, 18, and her driver Jaime Acosta, 26, in a bust at the Best Western Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue on Friday night.
Earlier that evening, an undercover police officer investigating the massage and prostitution business in the Allston-Brighton area placed a telephone call to an ad on Craig's List reading, "It's Friday, boys. Hot, young, Latina seeking mature men." A woman, identifying herself only as "Maria" over the phone, agreed to meet the officer in Allston after 8:30 p.m. with her driver.
At 10:35 p.m. the officer received a call from "Maria," later found to be Efstathiou, who said she would meet him in room 503 at the Best Western. After arriving, Efstathiou offered to perform oral sex and engage in sexual intercourse with the officer for $150. Efstathiou called her driver to confirm the arrangement.
"It's cool, I'm in room 503. It would be for a half hour," she said.
Just as Efstathiou hung up her phone, the undercover officer placed her under arrest. While being advised of her Miranda rights, Efstathiou willingly described her driver, Acosta, who was waiting in a silver BMW outside the hotel. The officer placed Acosta under arrest, seizing $536 from him as well as a collection of business cards reading "International Quality Entertainment.."
