The Princess Bride (1987) For a film drenched in pure romance, you can't get much better than this. This truly endearing Rob Reiner film manages to blend a genuinely funny story with a sweetness that never makes the viewer ill. The Princess Bride is a perfect date movie and cult classic that is one of the most quotable films of all time. William Goldman, who wrote the screen adaptation from his own book, creates brilliant and quotable dialogue. If you don't love this movie, SPOO!
