The Alternative Spring Breaks program in Austin, Texas, focused on workers' rights and fair treatment of people in the United States regardless of documentation status ("Recounting ASB experiences," March 26, p.1). Most federal labor laws refer to the rights of the worker. One thing we would like to emphasize in the discussion of immigration issues is the concept of committing an illegal action versus calling someone an "illegal" person. So we would like to encourage the use of the terms documented and undocumented rather than legal and illegal.
